What’s good Johnnie Floss? What have you been up to since our last conversation?
-Been good man. Just trying to stay relevant & busy. Been recording a lot to.
What are some of the things you are doing to ‘Get Your Buzz Up’?
-Shows, recording & releasing new material. Gotta keep your fans happy ya know?
Talk to the people about your new mixtape ‘Skyfall’. What can listeners expect?
-They can expect some great lyrics with great production. I’m a firm believer that your word is your bond, I’m just a little slicker with my words & I put it on a beat(laughs)
New single produced by and featuring Jimi Kendrix is called ‘Spread Your Wings’, how did this record come to fruition and how was it working with this multi platinum talent?
-It was great. I was always familiar with his work so it was a honor to work with him. We went through so many joints and I felt “Spread Your Wings” was perfect for me & my style. He’s a very humble dude that’s SUPER talented.
How does ‘Skyfall’ stack up against your last offering ‘The Campaign’, how have you grown creatively?
-I think the subject matter & bars are the 2 main things that have gotten better. I’m a firm believer of always wanting to get better if you wanna be great. So I always record as if its my first single & I always try to come up with fresh & new ideas.
Describe your stage show, what do you want future fans to experience at your shows?
-I just want people to feel like I gave them my all. I don’t want them to feel like I’m performing for me, I want them to know & feel like I performed for them.
What’s next on your agenda?
-Just to continue to record, continue to get better & new videos so stay tuned
