SoundCloud rappers come a dime a dozen these days, and there are few who buck the one hit wonder trend. 25-year-old Nigerian MC Chizlonies The Lord is anything but. He knows the importance of developing his sound, which he’s worked on since his first track on SoundCloud. With influences from the likes of Wale, Alex Wiley, Michael Jackson, Lil Wayne, T-Pain and Andre 3000; Chizlonies has cultivated a unique sense of melody, production choice and serious rapping skills.

Chizlonies is gearing up for his upcoming EP, “Songs For Women”, dropping May 1st. After a superb first single he’s back with another cut off of the project entitled “Bae”. Nowhere near a cliche love song; the eclectic, multi-faceted track is full of bounce and an even mix of uptempo lyrics. Chizlones pours his heart out to a girl he’s diggin but stays clear of cliches.
