There are certain types of people who let their setbacks and handicaps hold them back. Then there are those who aspire to achieve greatness, refusing to let those things dictate their demeanor. Louisville, Kentucky-based producer Rod Clemmons is the latter. Born blind, Rod refused to let that stop him from becoming the best at what he loves to do. Over his lifespan, he would grow a strong affection for music, which ultimately lead him to becoming a talented producer and working with a slew of artists.
Having succeeded in that category, Clemmons set out on a new found mission in music. He took to songwriting and singing and now presents his full length album, “What’s Up? It’s Me”. Consisting of eleven tracks, Rod looks towards soul, R&B and pop genres to fully project his artistry. The title track serves as the perfect introduction for the project. A smooth introspective single, the highly gifted artist vocalizes the guitar filled record and opens his heart fully. Easy listening best describes the mood of the single and once again proves that no matter the odds, Rod Clemmons will come out on top. Stream the single and album below.
