With the news of Joyner Lucas signing a partnership deal with Atlantic Records for a reported sum of two million dollars, Massachusetts has now officially caught the attention of the music industry. Along with Lucas, New England artist Kyle Bent has also been making his fair share of noise. So it was only a matter of time before the pair crossed paths and crafted music together. Enter “Deserve”, a song who’s topic revolves around accomplishing dreams and the extremely hard work, dedication and sacrifices it takes to not only make it but maintain it as well.
The official video, directed by Matt Arnold, offers up a colorfully pleasing artistic approach, further amplifying the release’s impact. Joyner kicks things off in his patented, multiple syllable flow and is followed by a thought provoking hook from Bent, who does a great job of showing his song writing capabilities. We deserve this life is the motto and Kyle and Lucas are two artists that surely live up to those chorus lyrics.
