In preparations for his upcoming EP “Pinehurst”, Oregon recording artist Samuel The 1st offers up a new song featuring Oakland emcee Brookfield Deuce entitled, “Inner City Blues”. The song is opened up by Deuce who drops knowledge on the streets. Samuel then drops in on the second verse and uses his time to speak about his goals and ambitions.
The production is handled by DrewLocs, who’s been known to flip soul samples for records and this one is no exception. For “Inner City Blues”, Locs channels the legendary Marvin Gaye and constructs a very potent beat that easily enables both artists to open up over. Maybe we will find this song on an upcoming project but as for now, it’s only being serviced as a promo single. Experience “Inner City Blues” below.
