Back earlier this year, The Last Wordbender dropped “The B-Side Love Songs”, a 12 track project full of soulful sampling, Boom Bap drums and you guessed it, love and heartaches.

One of it’s main producer’s was fellow Rockford resident DJBrickrock. After a number of live performances and brainstorming, the duo decided to revisit the album and in doing so, put together a 3 track EP titled “Love Is A TRAP!: The B-Side Remixes”. However, this isn’t just some ordinary remix project. DjBrickrock combines the Trap sound made famous by the South with Wordbender’s original lyrics. Then to take it a step further, TLW laid down new vocal recordings, giving the original songs a whole new look and sound which was inspired by the likes of Gucci Man, Ludacris and the Ying Yang Twins.
