What’s up Reese Rel?  For those new to the name, who are you and what do you do?

Reese Rel is an Artist who raps, sing, write, act – I pretty much do it all…. Well at least I strive to …. Lol

Being from North Philly and being from such a hip hop oriented market, do you feel there is somewhat of a pressure on you to stand out amongst the recent  success of Meek Mill and others from that area?

Yes I think that the recent success of Meek Mill puts direct pressure on upcoming Philly artists.  When an artist from our area reaches the main stream, (Like Meek) any other artist coming up behind him is expected to sound like Meek just because you are from the same area.  So anything you say or do that is similar to Meek people point it out with laser focus which sometimes overshadows the other artist originality.

You recently performed with Diggy Simmons on 106& Park, after previously being a winner on Wild Out Wednesday. How has the support from 106 fans and the experience itself help your career thus far?

It has helped more than I can adequately place into words.  It was an epic experience which allowed me to grow as an artist and I absorbed so many positive experiences being a part of that season. Since 106 & Park my fan base has grown and my fans have shown me a lot of love and support.  Being the winner of Wild Out Wednesday has become a platform that has propelled my career and has gotten me noticed which in turn is allowing me the chances to continue to perfect my craft.

You released the mixtape ‘Recess is Over’ back in February on www.datpiff.com and saw decent #’s on views and downloads. What type of feedback have you gotten from the media? Your fans? And for those who haven’t listened why should they?

I have gotten great feedback from the media; they go crazy off the energy and delivery.  My fans love it!  I just have fun with it!  There is something on “Recess is Over” that everyone can vibe to. I suggest anyone who enjoys good music and is looking for a new artist to add to their collection should tune in to and listen to my mixtape “Recess Is Over”http://www.datpiff.com/Reese-Rel-Recess-Is-Over-mixtape.572780.html This mixtape is diverse; you will not find one boring-stale track on it. From the ladies, the clubs, hip-hop heads, the underground rap fans just a lot of energy from number 1 to 16 they are all riding out to it.

Your current  Single “Beat it Out the frame” is being played on Power 99 & Delaware Kiss 101.7, how does it feel when you turn on the radio and hear your record?

It feels un-believable!  It’s hard to believe it’s my voice coming out the radio LIVE! I’ve had countless dreams about these moments so when I heard it, it gives me extra motivation and drive.  I enthused to share my gift with the world.

You are now about to finish your 1st full length album w/ a 1st single entitled Prayers”, how does it differ from ‘Recess Is Over’ and what is the concept behind the single?

I selected “Prayers” as the 1st single because of the message it conveys & the power of the song.  This album entails my emotions, my experiences & my struggles to make it to the top.  “Recess is Over” is a mixtape cd which garnered me exposure and was used as a vessel to build my fan base.

I hear you are touring the Tri-State weekly performing at Shows, what can the crowd expect performance wise from you?

A whole lot of energy, great music and crowd participation.  I like to turn things up!

Happy early Birthday, I see you have a  Red Carpet 21st Birthday Celebration June 15th @ Club Mezzanine, how do you plan on bringing in your born day for this special benchmark?

I plan on turning up from the time I wake up to the time I wake up again celebrating my actual birthday on the 19th!

Where can we find you online?
