Portland, Oregon / Hollywood, California artist Mike Bars recently dropped his highly anticipated, much talked about mixtape titled “16 Bars”, which is hosted by Funk Volume’s DJ Hoppa, as a free download. Consisting of 16 tracks, plus a bonus cut, Bars touches on many aspects of life such as love, personal struggles and relationships. Mike also not only raps his ass off all over the project (check out “There Will Be Blood”) but the dude can sing extremely well as evident on songs such as “Thinking About You”. “16 Bars” took Mike years to finalize and it truly shows from the cover art to the lyrical content to the overall production. With guest features from his crew and Funk Volumes own SwizZz, “16 Bars” is definitely worth the listen.
