(New Album)-@_AlFatir “Man From The Sky”

“Man From The Sky” stemmed from the title track (released as a single at the time) being picked up by DJBooth.net months ago. The potential popularity of the track led him to look past the song itself and consider the strength of the concept of the song as a whole. The project soon evolved into the work he’s now released. I’ll let a passage from Al-Fatir’s twitter feed concisely describe the project.

“A lot of people have been askin’ me what #MFTS is goin’ to be like…is it an album? Is it a mixtape? Honestly, it’s neither. I would say it’s more of a project. It was exactly what I wanted to do and a mirror reflection of my current mental. A conjunction of life experience and knowledge gained. Pain and loss. It’s dark but hopeful. If that makes any sense..It’s a little political at times as well but for the most part, it’s me. Al-Fatir. …And I’m only gettin’ better at givin’ you ME.”
