W3 The Future (WTF) is comprised of 3 members, Alex Chaidez (3sixT), Shyrehl Wesley (Hotspot) and Edsel Santiongco (EdgeOne). The group actually started with just 3sixT and Hotspot, fka The Phuture. However, the group’s manager Polo Molina, also the manager of the Black Eyed Peas, envisioned the group should attain a third member who can sing, to become a super dynamic group to reach maximum potential. During the search for the third member, 3sixT and Hotspot were invited to Black Eyed Peas producer, Poet Name Life’s son’s birthday. At this party, they met Poet’s younger brother EdgeOne. EdgeOne, a seasoned vocal performing artist, instantly clicked with The Phuture. And as fate would have it, they got in the studio to see if they could work together and magic happened! At that point, EdgeOne was deemed the third member. The Phuture had transformed into W3 The Future.

Under the mentorship of Polo Molina, the group was tested on their ability to work on their craft individually, and as a team. In order to amplify their artistic abilities, the trio would need to not only uphold their talents vocally, but also physically with image and dance. Polo assigned hip hop group, The R3jectz to help the kids with their performing skills and dance.

Night and day, the kids were determined to carry out their opportunity and practiced all the time. Polo was surprised at how quickly the kids were able to evolve and put the kids on stage to see how they could perform live! It was time. The kids debuted at a music festival, M3 Festival in front of 7,500 fans. The crowd’s reaction was livid!

Practice makes perfect and the present became “The Future.” The boys kept consistent in their practice and were given more opportunities to perform live. Some of WTF’s notable performances include Apl.de.ap’s charity event at the Conga Room in LA Live, Will.I.Am’s i.am angel TRANS4M Boyle Heights Benefit Concert, and at Calibash, a sold out Staples Center event! WTF have shared the stage with musicians such as the Black Eyed Peas, John Legend, LMFAO, Earth, Wind and Fire, Stevie Wonder, NeYo, FloRida, and many more!
