Tell us about you and your movement.
My name is Young Trajik aka Trizzle Da Hottest. I’m a 25-year-old rapper from the Midwest – well to be exact, Ohio State. If I can say myself, we’re the most slept on state in the nation for Hip Hop in the past years. I’ve been rapping since I was 12-years-old and started getting serious at about 21. The movement and indie label is The World Is Yours Ent. out of Ohio and Florida. We’ve been getting a lot of exposure with the last mixtape I dropped called Contraband2 hosted by Slip N Slide DJs’ President Troy 2 Da Vent. I have about four mixtapes under my belt and I’ve been hitting the Internet and performance scene hard these past couple of years with my team.
The new smash single “There Dat Boy Go” is buzzing all over the state of Ohio and South Florida and now we’re introducing it to the world as we speak with the help of DJ Radio of the Streetsweepers.

I started rapping very young. I actually did my first talent show when I was in third or fourth grade. All the great lyricists were very influential in me finding my love for Hip Hop at a young age. At about the age of 15 I started to write about things that I was exposed to in my neighborhood, which was a pretty rough spot. Things turned therapeutic for me at that point and I released a lot of tension by doing so. Me and some neighborhood friends had a group and we made a pretty good name for ourselves by giving out tapes at our high school and we took the city by storm. After my group days I had to come into my own by finding my own sound and individualism. I released a mixtape on my own in about ‘06 and had my city on smash. Ever since then its been a road to the finish line.
Who are some of your musical influences?
My influences back in the day, and will always be, Notorious B.I.G., Bone Thugs n Harmony, OutKast, Tupac, Big Pun, Nas, Rakim, Jay-Z, LL Cool J, Wu Tang, Snoop Dogg, Master P, Dr. Dre, E40, Rap-a-Lot Records and Cash Money. These days I’m really feeling T.I., Kanye West, Rick Ross, 50 Cent, Eminem, Lil Wayne, Drake, Yo Gotti, Gucci Mane, Young Jeezy, J. Cole, Wiz Khalifa and anybody else whose really putting out quality music.
What current projects are you working on?
I have just been doing shows crazy. Getting the Young Trajik brand and “There Dat Boy Go” stamped on wherever stage I bless. I’m dropping my new mixtape with all original music early this year called Global Warming and it will be hosted by Miami based DJ Seizure of the All-Out All- Star DJs. I’m really excited about that. I feel this is going to be one of the best of 2011. I’m going to be a part of the Florida Mixshow Summit in Miami February 25th and 26th getting my music heard by some industry personnel and top DJs in Florida. Other than that I’ll just be continuing my online grind and making great music for my fans. We’re putting on for Ohio in a major way.
How are you planning to ‘Get Your Buzz Up’?
By doing more shows on a broader scale and killin’ the Internet with classic material! I mean, the music speaks for itself but I plan on capitalizing off my current fan base and taking it to the masses. You can’t deny my grind or talent. Call it cocky, I call it confidence.
Where can we find you online?
You can find my music on ReverbNation, my mixtapes are on Datpiff.com, GetrightMusic.com, MixtapePass.com, ThatCrack.com and LiveMixtapes.com. You can stay connected with me on Twitter @youngtrajik, Facebook.com/youngtrajik, Myspace.com/trajikmusic and Youtube.com/TrizzleTV.
