Virginia’s RoeShamBeaux have been hard at work and take a much needed “Spa Day” to re-jog their mentals – @jaythehomie @mikeyyysol

RoeShamBeaux

Exhausted. Tired. Restless. All adjectives RoeShamBeaux are attempting to croon themselves out of with their new song, “Spa Day”. This is a song for anyone that’s been working their tail off for far too long and are ready to reap the benefits of their labor. It’s important to stay on the grind, but sometimes it’s essential to kick your feet up and get that mental health poppin’ and glowin’. Find a pool. Crack open a brew. Drop your worries and have yourself a magnificent “Spa Day”.

The definition of art, without a label, would be essentially meaningless – if not for its own creation giving it meaning. The same can be said of music – just ask duo RoeShamBeaux, consisting of producer Mikey Sol and MC the. Based in Northern Virginia, the group’s origins date back to 2011, upon first meeting in high school. After releasing several projects, including the critically acclaimed “BLACK” and “Woody Harrelson”, the pair scored their first mainstream-level jump shot with the wildly popular “Jetta Whippin”, which has amassed over 250,000 plays on Soundcloud and gained the attention of several blogs and big-name artists; 2DopeBoyz, Elevator and The Chainsmokers, just to name a few.

Their single, “Tequila Toes”, aims to surpass this already lofty achievement – a feat which may well be achieved, as the song has already been featured on none other than MTV and amassed over 40,000 plays at the time of this writing. Constantly evolving their sound is a pivotal factor in the duo’s success, from the brooding and eerie pallet of BLACK to the more upbeat, ready-for-radio hits featured on Woody Harrelson. Recently, the two have hit their stride in creating music catered to old fans as well as new fans alike, combining Mikey’s eloquent ear for sound and catching the perfect vibe to blend with JaytheHomies’ take-no-prisoners approach to songwriting, with dark wit, introspective lyrics and a fruitful message at the forefront.
