“On The Surface”, Casket D. seems collected but his mind begs to differ – @casket_mgb

Casket D. was born and raised in Yonkers, New York. He fell in love with Hip-Hop at an early age inspired by the sounds of Wu Tang Clan, Nas, Jay-Z, Notorious B.I.G., 2Pac and Bone Thugs & Harmony, to name a few. As a teen he spent time on both the North & South side’s of his hometown Yonkers, influenced by his older cousin Scif and friends Theory & Iron Lungs, at the age of 14 he took his love for Hip Hop music and the streets he came from and decided to express his experiences through rap.

His latest dish comes in the form of a video titled “On The Surface”, the lead single from his sophmore album, “Southie: Stories of Untold Truths Hidden In Existence”. Casket bares frustration in the song yet acknowledges just how far he’s come. He also reflects on some of the women of his past and their ill intentions as well as speaking on the unsettling feeling he has with people he deems unworthy. Assisted by the Stellar vocals of NöeL the video was directed by Casket himself, shot by DirectedbyEli and edited by Jaison Blackrose of Red Sydney.
