In honor of LGBT pride month and an attempt to pay homage to the Pulse Victims of Orlando, Jersey City’s own Rico Italy has released his song “Monster”. Featuring a sample from Meg & Dia’s ‘Monster How Should I Feel’, the rapper expresses the hardships of being a member of the LGBT community, the everyday struggles of hetero-normality and trying to make his way through the hip-hop community as well.

Rico has been seen working closely with many producers to take his m/*usic to the next level. Unlike most of the rappers today, Italy approaches with a message of perseverance and acceptance.
