(New Album)-@KPCANNONS The Funeral

Twenty year old old Maryland artist KP Cannon‘s highly anticipated debut project “The Funeral” has now arrived. More than just an album, it’s an audible story of triumph, risk, reward, obsession and paranoia. It’s a dark project that is a cohesive mix of cinematic melodies and gritty trap with infectious, immersive production from beginning to end.

It’s a captivating project with the gloominess of Kanye West’s “808s & Heartbreak” and the presentation and melodies of Travis Scott’s “Rodeo”. KP has a high aptitude for rapping using slick wordplay, and impressive flows mixed with catchy choruses supported by auto tune and reverb. This project features some amazing tracks such “Vol Por Paris”, a popular single which is currently sitting at 200,000 plus plays on Spinrilla.

Another standout track, “High Fashion”. features fellow Maryland rap act Andy McMann is a smooth yet thunderous banger where KP shows how quick and how thoroughly he can snap on a track plus the chorus and production by Andy is simply impeccable. “Fell in Love” is a rhythmic mix of melody and trap that is execute with excellence and precision. Listen to the “The Funeral” in it’s entirety below.
