Link Up TV dropped the brand new visual of Scorcher‘s raw and original track “’99 Riddim’ (My Ting)” where he teams up with Mercston and Ghetts, his fellow comrades from The Movement. The video brings an old school nostalgic feel to it suiting the rawness of the origins of Grime culture.
Premiered at radio with DJ Target with the audio via Complex and video via Link Up TV, Scorcher wades straight in on the Scholarbeat that has a seminal Ruff Sqwad sound. “’99 Riddim (My Ting)” is steeped in nostalgia and is a rude and effective reminder that Scorcher is part of thegrime scene blueprint.
Having hit the headlines over the summer, appearing on SKY News, The Guardian, BBC network, Capital network and beyond, Scorcher ventured from his music roots to take the lead role, as the character ‘Hoodz’, in independent film hit, “The Intent”. Scorcher continued to build his catalogue of music throughout his time in front of the camera, not only taking the lead visually but also supplying the lead track for the film and followed it quickly with a collaborative E.P between himself, GRM Daily and Rocket from SplurgeBoys.
