Vancouver emcee Immerze debuts a hot, new summer jam paying homage to the classic “96 Civic” automobile all the while smashing the false imagery of rappers and their fancy vehicles. The Stunt Man provides a very mellow beat presentation that has keyboard sounds that reminded me of 2Pac’s “Death Around The Corner” ensemble. Immerze also borrows a 50 Cent line from “Window Shopper” in the hook, giving the single a very melodic approach. “96 Civic” will be featured on his upcoming, “Before I Go” album.
