I-26 Nailz, coming out of Columbus, Ohio releases his debut album, “The Cold, Barren and Desolate”, which is now available to fully stream or purchase via his Bandcamp page.
The emcee explains what “The Cold, Barren, and Desolate” means to him:
“I feel like everyone is more concerned about bottle popping and trapping instead of other issues. I understand the trap. My father was the dopeman. A lot of my homeboys are either career criminals, in prison, or fighting a case. So I understand the street and the laws of the street. But, in the middle of the street wars are the people who are overlooked and forgotten. Right now there is a 10 year old kid, who is forced to raise his 3 year old sister because his mother is 23 and feels she can still hit the club and be a parent. Next door to that situation is a 17 year old kid hooked on herion. They have no moral support, no rehab center, and no one to talk to. They will most likely be an addict the rest of their life. These are the people that have no voice. No one to talk for them. So I’ll talk for them.”
