Dion Jetson finally releases his long promised debut album, “The Ear & The Heart”. The thirteen track album features production from talents such as JGramm (Travi$ Scott -Upper Echelon) to Lavish (Snootie Wild, Gunplay & Crooked I) to create a lush soundscape to accompany the slick delivery and potent bars of Dion Jetson. The features on the album are limited to people Dion Jetson has worked with or people who he admires such as former-No Limit Soldier and current Jet Life artist Fiend. Along with Jack Red (who also engineered most of the album at Soundscape Studios), Milwaukee’s own Yo-Dot (whom worked with Dion on “Respect the Midwest”), upstart rap group and brother’s The Starving Art Project and frequent collaborator and one of Chicago’s best rappers SeVen1.
“The Ear & The Heart” features the previously released singles “Old Franklins”, “Chasing Greatness” and “Airplane Raps” and introduces new records that show the growth of Dion Jetson since first releasing favorites “He So Cold” and “Clap for Me” in 2013. The new records include, “The Love” featuring an amazing hook from Jack Red, “Red Lights” which is Dion’s personal favorite, “Praying” which sets the tone for the entire project as the lead cut and the ladies’ favorite summer time sounding “Killher”. Along with being featured in the Tidal Discovery program, all of these factors make “The Ear & The Heart” a statement album for Dion Jetson and one of the best projects out of Chicago in 2015.
