The new single from the dynamic duo of Imperial and K.I.N.E.T.I.K. is a nosey glimpse into “Just Another Day” in their world. A world without mountainous piles of cocaine, bullet riddled walls and scantily clad females – just morning breath mist, liters of Oreo milkshakes and clumsily executed Michael Jackson routines. Imperial skilfully serves up a rowdy yet melodic combination of organ, guitar and drum vibrations which are guaranteed to induce screw faces on all those who press play. When it comes to mic check duties, K.I.N.E.T.I.K. bobs and weaves in and out of the instrumental detailing the day’s happenings from sun up to sun down – he even throws in some Jamaican ‘rude bwoy’ patois in a cheeky nod to his Caribbean roots.
The single is part of the extended edition of their successful EP “Pencils Not Pistols”. The extended edition features a number of guest appearances including Sivion, Sareem Poems and James Gardin. Keep a look out for “Pencils Not Pistols: Releaded” later this year.
