GetYourBuzzUp.com “Buzzin’” Interview with Bliz
What’s good Bliz? Briefly introduce yourself and let the people know how you’re getting your buzz up….
First and foremost, I appreciate you having me on this interview… I go by the name of Bliz, repping Trenton, NJ. My team has been holding me down heavy with my movement, shout out to Boss Fam.
I just dropped my first mixtape Money is the Motivation hosted by DJ Radio and DJ Alamo and I’m very excited about the project and how the people are responding to it. With my buzz I’ve balanced the promotion of the Internet and the streets. I’ve been consistent with giving the people good music and quality music videos. Shout out to Redd Pen Media!
You recently put out a new mixtape called Money is the Motivation. What did the title of the mixtape mean to you? And how do you believe it translate through the music?
The meaning of “Money is the Motivation” is pretty much the motto I live by. We all need money to eat, live, and survive, so my motivation comes from my passion of music; to get to this money to feed my fam.
On the mixtape I take my listeners through different scenarios that go hand in hand with the name of the mixtape. For example, the records “Beat a Case,” “Trust No Man,” and “People Talkin” are common situations that people deal with all the time – who either have, need, or use money to get where they need to go or deal with issues because of it. You know it go mo money, mo problems, feel me?
You got a dope song with Dipset capo Jim Jones as well as Sen City. Fill the readers in about the song.
The song is called “Loaded Up” which was produced by J-Dot and I used the record to open the mixtape because of the buzz it was getting when I first dropped the record. I linked up with Jim and Sen at their studio in New York, and it was a dope experience to work with them.
Shout out to Jim and Sen. The vibe we had creating the record was crazy to the point where we all came together to shoot a music video for the record which buzzed the net quick. The video has more than 500,000 views and counting all over the net. It’s still one of my favorite records on the mixtape that I’ve done so far.
The mixtape is also hosted by Streetsweeper DJ Radio and DJ Alamo. How did that collaboration happen? What did you feel each one brought to the table?
I linked with DJ Alamo about a year ago and we’ve been cool since. Alamo has always been a supporter of my music and I’ve always kept him in mind whenever I was ready to drop the tape. I linked with DJ Radio through Alamo and the rest was history.
They’ve both support me and have helped me spread my music all over the streets and Internet. Shade 45’s Streetsweeper Radio has also showed me love, spinning my records – shout out to DJ Kay Slay and the Streetsweeper fam.
What is your biggest moment so far as an emerging artist?
I would have to say it was when I opened up for Styles P – that was crazy. I never would have expected to experience opening for an artist I grew up listening to.
Do you have any performances lines up? Where can fans come and see Bliz?
I keep all my fans up to date with everything I do on twitter and my website, BlizMusic.com. I just got back from working in Atlanta, which was crazy.
I’m currently putting together a mini tour on the East Coast to promote the mixtape. You can follow me on twitter.com/BlizBF for all of the latest updates and check out my videos on my youtube.
