Buzzin Interview W/ @teamnrimes @NRIMES

1.) What’s good Rimes? Let everyone now how you got attracted to hip hop.

I was attrated to hip-hop first by my life struggles and trying to motivate people going through their struggles all around the world. I always wrote rhymes everyday feeling like one day my lyrics would be legendary and change the world.

2.) Who were some of your influences coming up?
My main inspirations in hip-hop would have to be Big Pun, Nas and the majority of the Dipset crew. Growing up, I was a big fan of punchlines and witty flows. I was always impressed by the amount of words an artist could rhyme in every bar. Later on, I found out about Cool G Rap who is one of the pioneers of multi-syllable rhyming so I’ve grown to respect him as one of my influences.

3.) How would you describe your style and or sound?
My style is a combination of a lot of lyrical hip-hop dudes. Basically anyone who has inspired me lyrically has influenced my rapping style. However I’ve managed to keep my own voice prominent when I rap so therefore my sound has become very distinct.

4.) What current project are you promoting?

Right now the project I’m promoting is by far my best work yet. It’s called The N Of The World mixtape. You can download it on Hot New Hip Hop or on Dat Piff. The hard copies are available for 5$ (plus shipping and handling), if you would like a hard copy you can email [email protected]

5.) How are you planning to stand out in todays saturated market of underground emcees?

I actually don’t plan on standing out because my style and presence truly speaks for itself. From the way that I dress to the way that I portray myself on a record is very unique. At the same time I stand out because I talk about things that people relate to and even if they don’t, then they still respect the music because of it’s genuine feel.

6.) Congrats on winning the Get Your Buzz Up event. How did it feel to be recognized for your talent?

Preciate it. I felt honoured to be recognized for my talent. Recently in my life I’ve been going through alot of family issues and I’ve lost a couple people close to me so I definately feel good. I just wanna go as hard as I can in honour of my loved ones I’ve lost and to make the rest of my family proud.

7.) Whats next for you?

What’s next for me is greatness. I will succeed beyond anyone’s doubts or negative assumptions. I plan to invest in professional music videos being shot for the songs on The N Of The World project. I plan on selling The N Of The World mixtapes to anyone I can and just continuing to spread the word about N-Rimes. I honestly feel like once my music is heard and well-received by the masses then I will be able to become an international success. I believe in myself a hundred percent…it’s just a matter of time.
