New ‘Buzzin’ Interview w/ @SuperstarChipz

Tell us about you and your movement

It’s ya fella Chipz Da General out of the Bronx.  I recently launched my record label Money Under Pressure Records about a year ago when I got out of a deal with Sony BMG. Due to complications between the label I was signed to and the parent company being Sony I only got to released a street album via Itunes before the deal deceased. Since then I teamed up with my mentor multi platinum producer Jimi Kendrix to release a hail of mixtapes while recording my first debut album. I locked in endorsement deals with Coogi Clothing, The Crown Holder Clothing and a few other companies. I’ve opened up shows for some of your favorite artist. I have toured the whole east coast and have recently resided in Hollywood California. My movement is internationally known now. Its Pressure Time!

When did you start to develop your artistry?

I’ve been on a daily grind since 06′ but I developed into an Artist in about 08′ When I was locked in a situation with Sony. And I develop each and every day now. I’m trying to make each record better than the last so I’m steady working on my craft. The vision I had when I first started with this music is now becoming reality. No days off!

Who are some of your musical influences?

Life itself is an influence on my music. Everyday struggles, all the fun I get out of life, all my down times I go through are my influences! Everyday life, my music could tell you that. If I had to pick a few artist that influence me then I would have to say Nas, Big, Pac, Pun,  Kool G rap, BIg L I mean the list can go on. I am a hip hop head, I love the culture!

What current projects are you working on?

I just dropped “Follow My Lead” Hosted By DJ Bedtyme357. I am Also Wrapping up my debut album that I’ve been recording for the last 2 years Which has production from Jimi Hendrix, Rockwilder, Tha Bizness, Music Mystro, Ervin ” EP” Pope, and Vinny Idol. I’m working on a movie that I wrote. I’m taping a reality show about my life and the everyday grind it takes to become a icon in this industry. I’m also working on projects with some of the M.U.P artist about to drop a west coast project with my bro Six titled “WE” and we are about to release this Money Under Pressure Compilation. So much work!

How are you planning to ‘Get Your Buzz Up’?

This Follow My Lead Project I just released is going to be in rotation everywhere. I’m going to release a lot of visuals off this. I plan on hitting the internet heavy this go round and I’m currently on and off the road on a 60 day non stop “Follow My Lead Promo Tour” touching N.C, S.C, FL, ATL, LA, PA, BOS, NV, OH, AZ, & JA. I’m also going to continue working with my sponsors and there networks.I’m gonna continue traveling and building with my networks in other states and countries. And I’m going to watch the light shine at the end of the tunnel. All Hard Work Pays Off.
