“Fade Out” could fit in the Electronic music universe; it also could, for obvious reasons, come close to the Hip Hop genre. Which nonetheless, DJ Player’s debut album pays homage to. “Interludes” second single seems to escape either one or another, dodging labels and mainly placing itself to the disposal of the listener’s interpretation, as far as the music genre categorization as the message decoding. Through the comparison – Like Empty Souls – rises the conflict with the fading theme, further explored along the chorus by the repetition of the sample We Will Fade Out.
Taking the lead, the repetitive rebounds of the word “out” suggest one of the oldest existential conflicts – the transience of human life – and, with it, the necessity of spiritual liberation of the subject in a world where everything moves faster and, above all, where everything seems to trap, manipulate and suffocate us by it’s frenetic pace. “Fade Out” to the release below.
