SM@SH was born upstate in Utica , N.Y into a family of music. He grew up in Queens, N.Y but spent most of his time in Brooklyn with family and friends, when asked why he stated “ Brooklyn is where my heart is”. Being that his mother is a great songstress, SM@SH always knew he was bound for greatness in the music world. He found it to be irresistible. Growing up with out his father forced his mother to give up pursuing her dream to sing so she could raise him and his brother and sisters. This kept him determined to keep the dream alive and pursue his own career and make his mark in hip hop. SM@SH attended George Westinghouse High School in Brooklyn , N.Y. This was a time when he began to work much more harder on his music. Focusing on being the best rapper he could be allowed SM@SH to hook up with producers and other artist that shared the same ambition. He stated, “ I used to stay up late nights trying to perfect my writing skills as well as my flow… as a matter of a fact, I still do!”. Continuing on his journey, SM@SH progressed as a lyricist and still is everyday. His ambition for music helps him to mold himself into the person he feels he’s meant to be in the near future.
