Tell us about you and your movement

My name is AdELA, I’m an independent artist out of South Florida.  Originally born in South Africa.

When did you start to develop your artistry?

I’ve been developing my artistry from a young age.  I’ve been singing as long as I can remember.  When I really started pursuing music, is around the same time I met STREETRUNNER… We have been making music ever since!   Who are some of your musical influences? My biggest influence in music is Nas! I have been a fan of his music since Illmatic… When I first got into music I would write rhymes to his beats and rap over them.  Eventually I turned those rhymes into songs.. Its crazy but as a singer my biggest influence was a rapper! Another person who influenced me was Tupac.  I loved that as an artist he constantly contradicted himself.  Like yes, women are great, but some are not.  He obviously used other words… I’m trying to keep this clean.  He also had this spark as an artist.  It didn’t matter what he was saying, you were captivated instantly… Both of them constantly showed the good and bad side of life, but most importantly kept it real in their music so as a listener you felt what they had to say.

What current projects are you working on?

Right now I’m pushing my single JUST FEEL IT produced by none other than STREETRUNNER.  We also have the remix with Lil Wayne…

How are you planning to ‘Get Your Buzz Up’?

This is crazy but I feel like with a good record, your buzz grows organically.. Ever since I dropped Just Feel It, its been spreading everywhere.  I got fans out in Japan, Europe and it amazes me how far a song can reach.  I’ve also been featured on over 200 mixtapes, so that helps a lot! I’m just thankful for everyone showing love and support!
